"Lueez Stratocaster"
Category: GUITARS
OK, some updates and corrections about my new "Fender-style Strat" guitar. I believe this one-of-a-kind guitar is a Lueez, handmade in Taiwan. I am not 100% certain about the materials used to construct this, but I think the laminated body is Alder with Maple stripes, and has a Maple Burl-wood top. The neck is hard Maple with a Rosewood fretboard (with a very "Fender" looking headstock). The pickguard is even wood of some sort, possibly curly western Maple. The icing on the cake here is the artistic mother of pearl and Abalone inlays. Originally I was told this guitar was handmade by a luthier in Columbus, Ohio and that the neck, tuners, bridge and pickups are from a Made In Mexico (MIM) Fender Strat. I am now fairly certain that this was made by "Lueez" and there are no actual Fender parts. This thing actually sounds about as good as it looks, but I will admit that mine needs a little fretwork on some of the higher frets. This thing is a work of art and would be worth every penny just to hang it on a wall and stare at it.•
